Jasmine Sasky is an illustrator, painter and clay sculptress. She was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In her twenties, left home and moved to Israel. Since graduating in 1994, with a Diploma in Graphic Design & Illustration, from The Neri Bloomfield School of Visual Arts,Haifa, Israel, she has combined her work as a graphic designer with freelance illustration, painting and clay work. In 2004, Jasmine and her husband moved to Vancouver with their three children. By 2007, on her desperate need to help her father and brother, both fighting cancer, Jasmine began to paint commissions and sent all the profits to her family. "Because I can not hold your hand, because I can not ease your pain, I sit down and paint". Her characters became her trademark and a new career started. Now, Jasmine is painting commissions coming across Canada, United States and abroad. Some of her paintings are displayed at schools, private clinics, restaurants, and the world renown "BC Children's Hospital". From every children's painting & mixed media art work sold, %5 of the final price will be donated to "ChildFind Canada" or "Make a Wish". |
